"Melanie McGraw could give filmmaking lessons to some of the other indie directors featured in Frameline. Her extraordinary short, "Pitstop," is one of the highlights of this compilation of lesbian cinema. It is a simply told story of a young girl, mistakenly left behind at a gas station by her parents, who meets a woman who hand-tools leather. They have a conversation and entire worlds rush open in our understanding these characters."
